S. Christy Sadreameli, MD, MHS
Assistant Professor of Pediatrics
Dr. Sara Christina Sadreameli is an assistant professor of pediatrics at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. Her clinical specialty is pediatric pulmonary medicine and her clinical interests and expertise include: care of children with asthma, pulmonary complications of sickle cell disease, aerodigestive disorders, care for children with medically complex problems, and general pulmonary conditions. She sees patients (inpatient and outpatient) at Johns Hopkins on the East Baltimore campus.
Dr. Sadreameli attended the College of Charleston for undergraduate studies and the Medical University of South Carolina School of Medicine in Charleston, South Carolina. She completed her residency in pediatrics at Children’s National Medical Center in Washington, D.C., and her fellowship in pediatric pulmonology at Johns Hopkins. Additionally, she earned a master of health sciences degree at Johns Hopkins School of Public Health.
Dr. Sadreameli’s primary research interest is pulmonary complications of sickle cell disease. She is particularly interested in how environmental factors, such as secondhand smoke and allergens may impact pulmonary outcomes. She also participates in research related to pediatric asthma. Dr. Sadreameli is a volunteer media spokesperson for the American Lung Association.
